1st December – 1 day to go: Father God, please allow the team safe travel tomorrow as they make their way to Bathurst. Thank you for all of the fantastic plans that have been made – we ask Lord that you might work through the events powerfully to see the team trained in sharing your Word and many people saved in the hearing of it.
Thank you that you are sovereign over all things.
We wait in anticipation of the wonderful things you will do in the coming week.

Psalm 71:16 ‘I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, O Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteousness, yours alone.’

Day 2

30th November – 2 days to go: Pray for our Christians in the media mission team – that we may work well together in unity for God’s glory. Pray that in all our planning & running of events, Jesus would remain central & his name be glorified.

Romans: 15:5-6: ‘May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.’

Day 3

29th November – 3 days to go: Heavenly Father, please be with all those who are preaching, giving an evangelistic talk or testimony on mission to know your guidance. Please help them to speak truthfully and faithfully from your Word and to share the way you’ve worked in their lives.

Mark 16:15 ‘He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.’

Day 4

28th November – 4 days to go: Lord God, please go ahead of us into the Bathurst community and prepare the hearts of those we will meet and share your Truth with. Help those on team to have confidence in sharing your Gospel during door knocking and the conversation stall in the CBD.

Hebrews 13:6 ‘So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

27th November – 5 days to go: Father, thank you for the Bathurst church families and for their generosity in providing places for the team to stay during Ultimate Relationship week. Please bless the relationships that are formed during this week. May the team members and host families encourage one another in the love of Christ.

Galatians 6:10 ‘Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.’

24th November – 8 days to go: Dear God, with much gratitude I praise you for Liz & Paul (our wonderful chefs) who have agreed to serve our mission team by providing meals. Thank you for their willingness to provide the team with the sustenance needed to persevere through mission week. Please provide them a smooth path for bringing this all together.

John 4:34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.

23rd November – 9 days to go: Heavenly Father, I pray for the Media @ Metro event. Please help this night run smoothly and fill the seats with many from the Bathurst community. Thank you for the opportunity to reach people with your saving Gospel message through film.

2 Corinthians 2:14 ‘But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.’

Day 10

22nd November – 10 days to go: Lord, may the team’s visit to the Bathurst Nursing home bring great joy to those they will meet. Father, help those team members to share their own relationship with God and why it is of great importance.
Thank you for allowing us to enter the nursing home & for those who have put great care and thought into organising this visit.

2 Corinthians 5: 14-15 ‘For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

21st November – 11 days to go: Father God, I pray for the men’s event ‘The Ultimate Man’ & the women’s event ‘The Ultimate Indulgence’. I pray these events will attract many men & women who are seeking to fill the emptiness inside them. Father, help those who come along to realise that Jesus is the only way.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Day 12

20th November – 12 days to go: Lord God, take our plans for the major evangelistic event – ‘The Ultimate Relationship’ and plant seeds in those who attend who do not yet have a relationship with you. Thank you also for the tool of the ‘Introducing God’ course. We pray that the Bathurst churches will be able to utilise it in the follow-up after mission, to see many of the seeds sown during mission week grow as those who consider your Son’s death for them learn more about your great love.

1 Peter 1:23 ‘For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.’

Day 15

17th November – 15 days to go: Dear Lord, thank you for the opportunity for Christian media workers in Bathurst and the surrounds to meet for dinner during mission week. Please strengthen those who stand for Christ in their work places. We pray this meeting will seek to encourage those who attend and glorify your name.

John 7:18 He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

16th November – 16 days to go: Lord God, we pray for the ‘Ultimate Reality’ combined youth event. Father thank you for the creative thought that has gone into preparing this night. Please use the parable of the prodigal son to win many young people back to you. Help those who are lost to find you.

Luke 15:31-32: 'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'

15th November – 17 days to go: With gratitude Lord I pray for Andrew, Kym, Ed, Sophia, Craig & Carrie who have made many sacrifices to lead our section groups this year. Thank you for their dedication, godly life examples and enormous love for those in their teams. Please grow them in love as they lead each section and provide them with wisdom for each challenge they face.

Ephesians 5:1-2 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

14th November – 18 days to go: Thank you Father for enabling the team to enter the various high schools & primary schools during mission week. Please remove any barriers that may hinder these presentations going forward.
Thank you for the hard work that has gone into this so far – Lord God, may the children who hear your message be changed by it.

Matthew 19:14: Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

13th November – 19 days to go: Lord, I ask that you might bring many newcomers to the church services taking place in Ultimate Relationship week. Father please provide opportunities for the Bathurst church families to invite their friends to church and enable them to hear of the free gift of salvation brought about by your Son.

1 Chronicles 16:23: Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.

10th November – 22 days to go: Praise to you Lord for the work of Bathurst Community Church & Bathurst Evangelical Church. Thank you for Cameron Webber & Rodney Macready & their families. Please uphold them and work through them powerfully for Jesus’ glory. I praise you for the leadership team & the church members. And I pray that the tasks undertaken during Ultimate Relationship week will help to strengthen their presence in the Bathurst community.

Phillipians 1:4-6: ‘In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.’

9th November – 23 days to go: Lord, I pray for Dominic Steele in thanks for his servant heart & faithful teaching of your Word. Please guide him as he prepares to teach us from God’s Word during mission, preparing talks from the ‘sermon on the mount’.

Matthew 7:13-14: "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

8th November – 24 days to go: Dear Lord & heavenly Father, I pray today for a continued good relationship between the Bathurst churches and Christians in the media, as plans come together and the mission week takes shape. I give you praise God, for the obvious unity among many of the churches in Bathurst and that God is working through them to bring more people into your kingdom.

Ephesians 4:11-14: ‘It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.’

Day 25

7th November – 25 days to go: Pray for Sam & Christine (the mission team leaders) that they might use this leadership opportunity to be better equipped to advance & serve God’s kingdom. Ask God to continue to enable them to work well together, that they would make wise decisions and that they would rely only on God for strength.
Psalm 143:10: ‘Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.’

Day 26

6th November – 26 days to go: Pray for yourself today (or those on team), that they would be enthusiastic about mission & committed in prayer. Pray also that they would be patient and willing to persevere through tiredness and draw courage from God to step out of their comfort zone. Pray that our Lord would teach the team many things from his Word and through their experience, so that they would be even better equipped to share Jesus with those around them.

Hebrews 10:35-37: ‘So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay.’

Day 29

3rd November – 29 days to go: Pray today for the people of Bathurst. Pray that God would have mercy on those that have not yet grasped his free offer of salvation. Pray in advance for those we will come in contact with, that we will be beacons of light and that we would be prepared to give a reason for the hope we have.

Acts 4:12: ‘Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.’

Day 30

2nd November – 30 days to go: Praise and thank God for the opportunity to go on mission - to seek the lost and become better equipped to share Gods saving gospel. Pray for those who are joining the team for the first time, that they will draw courage from our Lord.

Ephesians 6:18-20: ‘And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel…. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.’
